Training with Riverside Fire and Rescue

Our training days begin with the whole RFRS team meeting at our training centre.

The day begins with a recap of previous training sessions and a short discussions of the days goals. 
All of us then change into our full fire kit
and meet on the drill ground.
Practical training starts by discussing the fundamentals of the exercise paired with a demonstration from our training officer.
Once we have shown that we have understood the task we are given a scenario to act upon and the team will go on to carry out all required procedures.
After we have completed all the scenario based section, we move onto equipment training and maintenance. This is where we can learn how to use a range of different apparatus as well as how to maintain them correctly.
Finally, after all training is completed and everyone has changed out of their kit, feedback is given and a short debrief is carried out. This is when any questions that any of us have are answered  

Get to Know Riverside Fire and Rescue

Riverside Fire and Rescue Service started back in 2010, at the time we had a single fire appliance and a handful of operational staff and even less support staff who attended a few small events and shows throughout the year.

The demand for our services began to grow as did the need for a bigger and more skilled fleet of appliances and staff to work from them.

Over the years RFRS have faced some challenging situations but with our amazing team, determination and trust we have overcome every one of them. 

Now in 2017 we have a fleet of 9 fire appliances and support vehicles which between them have a whole host of skills and uses. We also have a larger and more diverse crew of operational staff and support staff who are training to become operational. Not only do we have a bigger team, we also offer an even wider variety of fire safety services.  

As for the shows, we attend bigger and more popular shows with even more appliances this allows us to show the public what we can offer them and it also helps us get to know new customers. 

We Are Riverside Fire and Rescue Service LTD

Riverside Fire and Rescue Service LTD is an independent, industrial fire service that offer a range of fire safety services from event fire cover with appliances and crew, to supplying PPE, safety signage and fire extinguishers.

RFRS consists of fully operational staff and support staff who are training to become operational. Between our staff and our fleet of varied fire safety appliances and vehicles, we can tackle a whole host of challenges.
